A great read and true adventure motorcycling. Just a great book. Wonderful feat by two amazing women and in 1934 even more so! The language is not particularly poetic but the sheer nature of the trek through the continent of Africa deserves it my four stars. It's an easy read and an eye-opener on many colonial facts - the SATT, the legion francaise, the British empire, the segregation in South Africa and the poverty of West Africa, the pigmies etc etc. Their future independent lives and active contributions to the second world wars attests to their determination and inventiveness in a traditionally male dominated (even today) environment. A great book with a strong legacy for all women to go out and make your dreams come true no matter what! English Such an inspiring story of adventure.
