All the Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy books are first class for any girl or boy. The illustrations are first class and the stories are amusing. The books are in rhyme but they flow so well that even when the child is very young they can get the flow of the words. I read these to my children and am now buying and reading them to my grandchildren. They are worth every penny and I am so glad I found them. Lynley Dodd Brought a series for my son and I to read speedy response and delivery loved reading them with my son and perfect price Lynley Dodd Bought for my 5 year old granddaughter who has become a big fan of Hairy MacClary and friends. The rhymes are terrificly funny even for the adults reading them. I have to admit I am a fan of Lynley Dodd. All of her books were favourites with both our children when they were younger and made perfect night time stories and then helped with them learning to read through repetition on certain phrases. They are really easy to read with charming simple rolling rhymes which are super easy to make fun for your child. It seems they are no longer in print as I have been trying to buy all of them so my soon to be first grandchild will gain the same benefit that both my daughters did. I believe that if you read to your children from the very first days you will start to instill in them a true love for reading and a considerably colourful imagination. Hairy Maclary's bone is a tale of finding out who your friends are and what they want! Another great bedtime read!
