The Frog Prince (Silver Penny Stories) by Diane Namm is one version of the Frog Prince I chose for my daughter's first grade classroom. When children can see many versions of the same tale it adds to their understanding of story and character development. Plus, they have the enjoyment of hearing the story and seeing the many different illustrations. It encourages them to create their own stories and drawings. I loved it. English Are you kidding? When this book or whatever this is, arrived I was so disappointed. I have no idea where I could use this book. Extremely small. A waste of money. My granddaughters love fairy tales, and this is a good one for them. 48 pages I love the format of these books. They are very easy to handle by the first graders, the text is a very abridged and simplified version of the real tale, but it works out right for the beginner level. The book has a total of about 40 pages, one page half text in larger print and a picture page, making it easy for the kids to follow the story along.
