Ok

I bought this because I am doing a Futurelearn course these tales are classics of the genre and fascinating to read Kindle False title. This book does not have thumbelina or tommelise. Crap Full of strange stories. Some sad like The Match seller and some downright wierd like The Elf in the Rose and The Tinderbox. Really enjoyed re reading some stories ftom my childhood and seeing the moral and social comment of the time they were written. The kindle e book itself works with a table of contents but I think books like this work better as a book with pictures and character. Kindle I am reading this at the same time as reading the Grimm fairy stories. I have to say Grimm is the far better (and darker) read. Not really impressed with Hans and the morality tales aspect of many stories. Sometimes less is . A selection may be better than a complete collection. Enjoyed working my way through this compilation of fairy tales which I remember my mother reading to me when I was a child. A nostalgic trip down memory lane and at such a bargain price. English
